Dave,
Ham Lake does something similar, on last week they drove around the neighborhoods with a decorated fire truck and Santa waiving to the houses. They had sirens going and everything (pretty loud). I guess it is some kind of tradition. We stood at the window and waived (mostly trying to see what the ruckuss was about)

So Alexis enjoyed the video very much, She even pointed at the screen and said “Eli!” She sat very still and contently watched! Love the video clips (I missed Alexis pushing Eli on the plane at Thanksgiving… Pretty dang cute!)
